Apparently, the -mno-cygwin option is deprecated in favor of -mwindows [1]. I get the following error when building kitcreator with MinGW. cc1.exe: error: unrecognized command line option '-mno-cygwin' make: *** [kitInit.o] Error 1 [1] https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=647820
